In the interest of getting all our form fields onto one print and to save paper, it would be very beneficial to be able to decrease the row height more that it is locked into. The old email template layout was much more easy and open to use.

Hello printit,
Thank you for your patience. It is possible to lower the row height by setting the Cell properties Style padding to 0, as shown in the screencast below:
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Ok, this padding fix is working so far, but I do see some issues with the final output to gmail. We do not print the background graphics to save toner, but with the new Jotform template fields that are highlighted have a weird left indent to them on the output form. Previous email templates did not do this so I assume it is a new Jotform standard. It looks like the highlighted fields are ones that have a dropdown associated with them in the Jotform form. Can I turn off this feature to keep all entries aligned left straight? Images below depict L=with background off, R= with background on. Below these 2 is the layout it used to be. Much more preferred over the new. Jotform has made a mistake in changing things.

Hello printit,
I understand the issue, but I’ll need a bit of time to work out a solution. I’ll get back to you shortly.

Thanks for waiting, we appreciate it.
I cloned this form and tested it but I couldn't replicate the issue. Checkout my screencast below:
Can you please confirm if this is the form that you're having issues with?

Issue is there plain as day. The blue highlighted text is causing the issue. The Indent it causes is making for a very poor read when you print the submission without background images present. This looks very unprofessional. The email template for some reason calls out these fields and turn them a color and repositions the text. I prefer our submissions to look like below, but the template is not the same anymore...

Hello printit,
Thank you for getting back to us. I made a simple test form, and yes, you're right. It seems that the email template for some reason calls out these fields (i.e. Dropdown, Multiple Selection) and turn them a color and repositions the text. As shown in the screencast below:
Unfortunately, I was not able to find anything different on the email template source code, those fields have the same class and style.
Since the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now. We've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers, but when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

Thank you for time. Frankly, I use JotForm due it simplicity and the fact I don't have to learn the source code to use it. I have been using this forms for over 10 years now with great success. We use our campus Gmail solution to receive all JotForm submissions. I am sure that JotForm tries to cover all bases, but ultimately the design is centered around JotForms own email client inbox. Unfortunately we do not use that feature. The default email notifications template is not really usable for our needs. The goal is to get as much of the submission onto one sheet of paper if possible.
