    No matter how I set up the "Thanks" it bombs

    The email gets sent then i get

    ..hanks.html

    server not found.....

     

    I tried everything.

    when I run the form it end up

    Hi Zata

    This has me stumped. When I cloned the form in question and and made a submission, your Thank You page showed with no problem. (You can test the clone here.) All of my browsers (IE, Opera, Firefox, Chrome and Safari) showed the Thank You page just fine. However, when I ran three (3) test submissions on the original, I got the same baffling result you did. Changing the custom URL in the Thank You Page Wizard from just dentaltlc.net/DentalTLC/Thanks.html to http://dentaltlc.net/DentalTLC/Thanks.html didn't solve the problem either.

    I'll submit a ticket on this issue for you and our developers will have a look at it as soon as they can and get back to you via the following link: http://www.jotform.com/answers/41539-No-matter-how-I-set-up-the-Thanks-it-bombs.

    Hi Zata,

    I think my colleague Wayne may have missed this, but you have a condition in your form that changes the Thank You URL to ..\thanks.html

     

    Please note that you cannot use relative paths as custom thank you URL's, not even in redirect conditions. I have modified that condition to use the same URL as your thank you page which is http://dentaltlc.net/DentalTLC/Thanks.html.

    Quite right, Neil.

    Zata, I just discovered that my form actually works just like yours. The reason I was getting the Thank You page to work before was that sometimes when I clone forms to test them, I turn off their required fields, especially if they are long forms with lots of required fields. Obviously that wasn't necessary in this case since the form wasn't long and only had two required fields. Anyway, during my tests I was just submitting blank forms and getting the Thank You page to load. Had I tested my clone again after setting the Full Name and SELECT A CATAGORY fields back to required, I would have got the same result you did.

    But I'm wondering what the purpose of the condition is, if it's redirecting to the same page as when the Full Name field is not filled. At any rate, since the Full Name field is set to required, the form cannot be submitted without it being completed.

    I had set up conditions...then I changed my mind and erased them. I realized that I did not need them. I actuallly tested the system with full requirements then backed them off because I wanted to test the system faster. In either case, completely filling out the form had identicle results. I finally pooped out last night and was going to make a totally new form from scratch and assume some residule code was lodged somewhere in a non displaying data element.

    Thank you guys for your attention to my concern. I will be signing up for paid service after I finish testing. I have many websites and want to use your forms on all of them.
