When I try to reset my password, it tells me my email is not recognized. Yet, I receive messages to the email address?

Actually, you do not have a registered account. The forms you created are under a guest account which is only as good as your browser's cookies. When these cookies are cleared, access to the guest account is lost.
I suggest that you register a free account using the same e-mail address for your guest account/s, so that the forms you created will be transferred over.
