    Payment Gateway Question

Asked by Melissa Moline on September 01, 2011 at 04:47 PM

We are current another form builder customers, using the authorize.net portal to accept credit cards.  We are in the rental apartment leasing industry, and when we accept the "consideration" in the form of the first months rent, we'd like to be able to capture this amount as an "authorize only" and not a physical "pull" transaction.  We charge a $75 application fee which is taken up front as a "pull" transaction, these two items are conducted at the same time. The $75 fee is a "pull" transaction, with the other, the first months rent, being an "authorize only" transaction.

We spoke with Authorize.net an they informed us that we'd need to speak with you to customize the payment gateway so that we can conduct this type of credit card transaction. They offer the functionality, but it would need to be able to integrate with your form. We have an in house developer if that makes this any easier.

My second question is do you have a way to transfer over existing forms? We have roughly 20 forms and it would be ideal to be able to import.

Thank you so much for any help you may be able to offer us.

    Hi there,

Unfortunately as of the moment the 'Authorize' only feature is currently
not available in JotForm. This feature is already added as an enhancement
request, you can find such request from this article:
    http://www.jotform.com/answers/30113-Authorize-net-API-Authorize-Only-

As for your 2nd question you can use the Import function of JotForm to
duplicate forms on your account from an another website.

    To do this:

    1. Copy the URL of the form that needs to be cloned
    2. Log into your target account
    3. Click on "New Form"
    4. Click on "Import Form"
    5. Click on "From a Web Page" and paste the form URL
    6. Click Continue and your form should be cloned.

Let us know if you have clarifications.

    Regards,
    Mliz
