Link Forms - Pass value from one form to another

    I created an application form for prospective interns to complete that includes the email addresses for three references. Is it possible to have a link for a separate reference form automatically sent to the listed email addresses once submitted? And, if so, can that form have an auto-generated field that would include the applicant's name?

    Hi Valerie,

    Yes that's possible. You can pass field values to another form using URL parameters.

    1. Copy the field tags from your 1st form. These tags must be the fields you want to pass on the 2nd form.

    To get field tags, right click the field on the form builder then select "Show Properties" and copy the tag (the one wrapped with curly braces) under field details. See screenshot below.

    2. Use this app to prepopulate data on your 2nd form: Just browse your 2nd form, fill in sample values and generate the URL. Copy the URL and paste it to notepad. Replace the sample values you filled in to that form with the field tags you copied from the first step.

    3.a You can then include this link on your form notification so when the user receives the message, they can simply click the link and the values will be automatically populated to the form.

    OR if you want your first form to automatically redirect to another form and populate the values. Check the following.

    3.b Set the link as your 1st form's custom thank you URL.

    Test your form afterwards. It should pass the field value from your first form to your 2nd form.

    If you need further clarification, let us know here. Thanks!

    Is there a limit to the number of values you can pass from on form to the next?

    I'm trying to follow the instructions to pre-populate a booking form ( with the data from a quote form (

    I'm unsure what tags to use when mapping the Date and Time value fields (Day, Month, Year + hrs & mins and am/pm).

    The string of URL that I have (using the prepopulate app linked above) is as follows (I'm only showing the section for the time fields):

    The data from the Time field on the quote form is as follows:

    ID: #input_86_hourSelect, #input_86_minuteSelect, #input_86_ampm, #input_86_hourSelectRange, #input_86_minuteSelectRange, , #input_86_ampmRange
    Name: {start86}

    The data for the date field on the quote form is as follows:

    ID: #day_141, #month_141, #year_141, #lite_mode_141
    Name: {eventDate}

    Am I correct to assume that I would simply add the section relevant as per this example:

    startend[hourSelect]={start86#input_hourSelect}&startend[minuteSelect]={start86#input_86_minuteSelect}&startend[ampm]={start86#input_86_ampm}&startend[hourSelectRange]={start86#input_86_hourSelectRange}&startend[minuteSelectRange]={start86#input_86_minuteSelectRange, ,}&startend[ampmRange]={start86#input_86_ampmRange}&dateOf[month]={eventDate#month_141}&dateOf[day]={eventDate#day_141}&dateOf[year]={eventDate#year_141}

    The yellow highlighted area is also confusing.  Do I use the blank space between the commas??

    eg. #input_86_minuteSelectRange, ,

    Hope to hear from you soon.
