How can I enable SEND POST DATA.?

Asked by cbtcollege on September 01, 2011 at 06:04 PM

I am trying to use javascript in my thankyou page and it gets erased right after I save my form. The purpose of that javascript is to capture the information and send it to a tracking company. Since the javascript portion of the code gets erased I decided to have a custome URL for my thank you page, the problem with htat is that I cannot get the information from the form in the thankyou page. I enable the SEND POST DATA, but the information from my form is not being posted. I have tried to use www.google.com as my custome URL thankyou page just for testin, and when I do that it works. but when I try my own custom thankyou page it doesnt. Hi cbtcollege

Thanks for your query. In order for SEND POST DATA to work, PHP must be enabled on your website. I don't know if this is the case with your site. However, since the tags used in notifications and autoresponders can also be used in customized thank you messages, I suggest formatting such a message to look like your current thank you page and copying the table from the "ale/fer/cbtcallcenter" notification to the new thank you page. It should look something like this. (Clone this form to see the full message.) Incidentally, it appears that formatting the new thank you message to look like your current Thank You page is done automatically by the Thank You Page Wizard because when I selected Thank You Message and clicked "Next", that's just what happened.

Please let us know if this is a viable solution and if there's anything else form related with which we may assist you.

    Thanks.

In addition to what Wayne said, I don't think it's possible for Javascript to read post data variables.   Server side scripting languages such as PHP, ASP, PERL, Java, etc. are the ones that can read post data variables.
