Open 2 new URLs with one click of submit button

Asked by ValancheLau on September 06, 2011 at 04:56 AM

    Hello All:

I am trying to open 2 windows with one click of the submit button, how do I go about doing this?

I have created a "Thank you" page hosted on my side after clicking of a submit button. Is it possible to open additional new window(E.g www.google.com) together with the "Thank you" page?

    Best Regards,

    Hi ValancheLau

Thanks for asking. The only way I can think of accomplishing this is to place the code on this page into the head of your Thank You page.

If you need additional help with this, our team will gladly to assist you.

Or is there a way that I can opening up another window upon the page load of the "thank you" page. I am using WordPress by the way, thank you.

    Hi Chris,

I believe that is what my colleague Wayne has suggested in his earlier response. The only possible way to implement this is to modify your custom Thank You page so that a new page will automatically open up in a new window once the Thank You page loads up (after submitting the form). However, you mentioned that your website is hosted by WordPress, so the usual Javascript way of doing this won't be possible. I would recommend that you consult WordPress.com or WordPress.org support forum for potential workarounds.
