    DropBox Formatting?

Asked by weborigination on September 09, 2011 at 12:29 PM

Hello.  I have just enabled a form to be sent to my customer's DropBox application and everything is working as expected.  (IE: The forms are being delivered from JotForm to DropBox just fine.)  However, my client would like the names of the files submitted to DropBox to be formatted as they were when they were receiving them via email.

IE: They are being saved on the DropBox system as something like this "181346972741381768.pdf" and my client wants them to be saved like this "Last Name / First Name / Form Name" as they had previously been coming to them in email.

    Is this possible?

Also, do you know if it is possible to have the forms sent "from" JotForm to ALWAYS go into the same folder on DropBox?  Currently, there is a new folder created on DropBox every time a file is received from JotForm.  They need the forms to always go into a specific folder, so that their in-house patient registration system (eDrawer) can automatically go out to DropBox and pick up the new forms.

    Thank you.

    Hi Brian,

Sadly, no, it is not possible to rename the PDF file of the submission entry sent to Dropbox, but you can have the pdf submissions go to the same folder.

    1.  Go to your form's submissions page

    2.  Click the settings icon then click Manage Dropbox Integration

    3.  Choose No Folder then click Complete

The pdf files will then be delivered to the same folder named after the form which is under the main JotForm folder.

    For example: \Jotform\Patient Registration Form\181346972741381768.pdf

We hope you find value in this post. Kindly inform us if you need further information about this topic.

Thank you very much for your continued patronage.
