How can I create a table with open text box fields?

I would like to create a table with several products vs a few years of sales. Then I would like my customers to fill in the matrix with forecasted sales. How do I create this?

I found the matrix option, however when I pull that into my form, it only has buttons to click and not open text fields.

It is possible to switch an 'Input Type' of the Matrix field into a Text Box mode.

Alternatively, you might consider using some widget field(s).
