Collecting credit card details got account to be blocked: What to do?

    Hi Kasey,

    You have been collecting Credit Card information on your jotforms and for that reason your account has been suspended.

    Phishing You agree that Company may terminate your JotForm Service immediately if a form is created or JotForm is found to be used to: Obtain credit cards sensitive information, get social security numbers, show content with child pornography, make login forms to steal user credentials. All these activities are considered as Phishing and any account along with the guilty forms will be suspended immediately

    Hi Ben,
    I did not know this is not allowed, can you kindly enable the account for
    now....i will get the credit card form deleted once we have collected the
    required information.

    Hi Kasey,

    OK, I have talked with my colleagues and we will enable your account for now, but please remove the fields for collecting credit card data as soon as possible from your jotform, which will in turn permanently remove the same data from the submissions.

    We are not storing that information in encrypted format which would be required for such type of data, and as mentioned before we do not allow it as per our terms of use.

    What I would suggest is checking out our payment processing widgets as with them you will be able to get payments made in any manner that you require for you business and have it done as per our terms of use.

    Hi Kasey,

    I just took a look at it and yes, this is the proper wait to integrate with a payment processor and 'collect' the credit card details as we do not save these details, they are only passed to the payment processor for processing.

    Oh, so this was the reason why their account was blocked! As I can see, the Phishing section has precise and clear instructions as to when JotForm can disable your account and why. It’s good to see how dedicated JotForm support is toward helping all the members, regardless of what problems they are facing and how complicated. I haven’t seen many forums enabling accounts of those users who somehow fail to abide by their terms of use. Impressive, and I am glad to be part of JotForm!
