Explaining field masks and how they work

The phone field is North America centric. One is forced to use the mask and in an international setting, masks make no sense.

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Can you explain more what doesn't make sense about masks? When you create a mask for a field you'll use @ # * to make up what you want required to be input for the field.

@ = Masks Letters

#  = Masks Numbers

*  = Masks Letters & Numbers

For phone number fields you'll only be able to use the # for numbers that you want entered to match to the amount of numbers you're wanting to collect.
