    Secure form

    Why is this message coming up now when I checked my pop up form?

    This Connection is Untrusted
               
    You have asked Firefox to connect
    securely to www.jotform.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
    Normally, when you try to connect securely,
    sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are
    going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

    What Should I Do?
             
    If you usually connect to
    this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is
    trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.
               
             
    This is a huge issue for me. Is there any way to stop this from occuring?

    Hi,

    We're sorry for any inconvenience caused. Due to the recent attack to our servers, we had to move to a new provider. Because of that, we did not get a security certificate for https://www.jotform.com yet.

    To solve this problem, please change your url from https://www.jotform.com to https://secure.jotform.com

    do you know how much work that is?????!!!!!!!!

    An email warning would have been nice.

    I have two sites with 40 or so pages and around 100 url's to change

    Total bs!!

    Why did I have to figure this out myself????

    How about a mass email to all your paying customers. Any reason that didn't happen???

    There is no patience or understanding in my tone at all. I need answers to the following:

    1. When will https://www.jotform.com be a secure URL again?

    2. Why was I not informed about such a crutial change to JotForm's secure forms?

    I want to mention that I don't personally blame you Neil, you have been very helpful in the past but this matter affects the cornerstone of my two sites and I'm so upset that I was told nothing about the change. Let me know when you have these answers.

    Will it be today?

    After Friday's DDoS attack we had to move to a security proxy service and they cannot issue new certificates currently. Their certificate provider is doing an internal audit and they stopped providing new certificates temporarily. We hope to have the certificate within this week. 

    2. Why was I not informed about such a crutial change to JotForm's secure forms?

    We have been busy fixing things over the weekend. I have prepared an email message but we haven't had the chance to send the email to users with secure forms yet. We are about to send the email right now.

    Thanks for the explanation Aytekin but as a premium paying customer I do expect prompt notification for serious incidents such as this, especially for webmasters who own a lot of websites, so I completely agree from Leego's frustration.

    Thanks Aytekin, will you post on this thread when https://www.jotform.com becomes a secure link again? I will take your word that the original secure link will be live this week and I will not change my URL x 100. If you expect it to be longer than you state kindly let me know that also.

    Great News!

    1. We have fixed the problem on security certificate of secure.jotform.com, that should work properly on Windows Firefox now.

    2. We also have the new security certificate for www.jotform.com. So, that will also work.

    You can use either www.jotform.com or secure.jotform.com. Both options will work.
