Google Sheet Integration populates different time zone

Hi, When I have the google sheets integration-it populates with Easter time instead of Central time. The jotform shows Central time and my computer settings have a time zone of central time. Thoughts on steps to fix this--I am afraid the reminder emails sent out will have the incorrect time and be confusing for people.

    Greetings,

Thank you for contacting Jotform Support. I understand that you're having issues with the integration of Google Sheets and it populates the incorrect time zone. In order for us to check, could you please provide the form link?

After logging in to your account, go to My Account Settings Page then you can change your time zone settings, then remove the integration and reintegrate Google Sheet.

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

Thanks, but I have already allowed folks to sign up for times on the jotform.

The time zone settings appear to be correct in both the form and the integrated google sheet--this is my confusion.

I don't want to remove the integration and lose the data already there--will that be what happens?

    Thanks,

    Brittany

Also, I notice that the time stamp on these messages are an hour ahead of me. My computer's time zone is also set to Central time??

    Hi mtbethelfwb,

I cloned your form and I can see that the Appointment Field's timezone is set to EST. Also, the appointment field is set to auto-detect the user's timezone. Here's how you can find this in the Appointment Field's settings:

    1. Click the gear icon
    2. Go to the Advanced tab
    3. Scroll down

Since your appointment field is set up that way, the Central Time that you pick from the appointment will convert it to EST. This will reflect in the submission Table and Google Sheets. To fix it, you can change the Appointment Field's timezone to Central Time.

In regards to the removal of the Google Sheet integration, the data will remain in the Spreadsheet. And if you will re-integrate it, you can choose the same Spreadsheet by choosing Use an existing spreadsheet in the integration settings:1665799540 634a15744d160 Screenshot 21

You can also choose to Create a new spreadsheet and check the Send existing submissions to the sheet in the integration settings1665799639 634a15d799e07 Screenshot 32

Please give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Okay, thanks so much for your help!

Somehow, I never saw the change time zone field--on the form itself, it shows Chicago timezone so I assumed this was correct.

I put in time slots one hour ahead to "fix " our issue. If I change the times and the timezone on the form, will it mess up available time slots for folks to sign up for (we only have 2 spots open for each time)?

    Hello Mt. Bethel,

It will not change the existing submissions, but it will change on your form for your future submissions.

I mean that when you change the time slots, the change will show up immediately on the form for your other users who would be filling up your form.
