    Multi Step Forms

Asked by Dimitrios  on October 23, 2014 at 08:40 AM

Is it possible to have two (or more) images on a step and when one is clicked automatically go to step two?

Basically I want to have one choice at each step.  (something like this site does on step 2:  https://www.fha.com/ssl/application_ml_new.php?ppcid=101&loan_purpose=1&cid=FHA&product=PP_NEWHOME )

same thing-have radio button and when a choice is clicked auto advance to step 2.    Having the end user pick a choice and then have to hit next seems to be an unnecessary step.

Are you referring to the Continue button on the FHA form?

If this is the case, yes it's possible to do this using JotForm.

Please refer to this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/119-How-to-Create-Multi-Page-Forms and also if you want to allow your users to save their responses and continue to fill your form later (in case that you have a lot of pages) you can also do this. Please refer to this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/97-How-to-Save-Forms-to-Continue-Later

If you have any questions, please let us know

    Best Regards.

No, like in step two.    User chooses image and then goes to next step without a cont button.

    Hi Dimitrios,

Unfortunately that is not possible in the way that might seem as the right one to take for certain reasons I will try to explain near the end, but you will see in time that with JotForm, possibilities are just endless.

For example, we could accomplish that with a bit of CSS and some conditions.

Take a look at this jotform: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/42955973172970

It is a quick jotform showing you how you can hide the fields that you do not need to and show the ones that you do.

Now in regards to the questions you have:

same thing-have radio button and when a choice is clicked auto advance to step 2.    Having the end user pick a choice and then have to hit next seems to be an unnecessary step.

The reason for this is that you can set where you want your users to go, but allow the change to be made in the same time. The page that you have given us the link for does not allow going back or confirming that the right choice was made.

For this reason our conditions can be used to send the user to some page based on their input in certain fields, but only when they are sure that they would like to go to next page and that option is available.

So, radio options would allow you to set what is the next page, but not to take you there directly..unless..

You use the recommendation that my colleague has posted about auto saving your jotform data and experiment with the jumpToPage URL parameter.

    example: form.jotform.com/ExampleFormWithPageBreaks?jumpToPage=3

Do let us know what you think of the sample and if that is something you would like to use, just let us know and we will be glad to share our 'secrets' to success :)

    Best Regards,
