script errorAsked by firstname.lastname@example.org on October 30, 2014 at 09:47 AM
When I open my jotform. I have a script error:
Script: http://max.jotfor.ms/static/formBuilder_nl-NL.js?3.2.4201:77 and I can do nothing more; everything is blocked.
When I go to my form http://www.jotformpro.com/form/42632557541960, I see nothing from my formtext and after a while, when the form is automatically saved, everything is gone...
That is the third time a make this formand ater a while I've a script error, why? What can I do?
It is a form with a lot of mathematic properties; is that the reason?
I work with mozilla and have the same problem in IE or Chrome...
This form is imported in a website. When I make a new form, how can I make that the formID, is the same as the old form, so I have not to change the link in the website?
Thank you for your help.
Is it an error that appears while you are editing the form in the form builder? Were you able to replicate this to a new form or to this form? Would you mind sending us a screenshot of how the error looks like? Here's how to add a screenshot to this support forum: http://www.jotform.com/answers/277033. We need to know what was is exactly the error before sending this to our developers.
Also, I would advise clearing your browsers cache and cookies for Jotform before doing any changes to the form. Please try that and update us here for the results.
By the way, you can use our Form Revision History feature to recover lost changes to the form. Here's how: http://www.jotform.com/help/294-How-to-View-Form-Revision-History.
I died what you say: Form Revision History, delete cache and coockies. I saw my earlier form before the problem.
Than I opened the form, to change the form... and than again... script error, mozilla stops working for a few minutes.
I have also the possibility to debug the script. I don't know what that is, but here is a printscreen:
I also experienced difficulties trying to load the jotform 42632557541960:
I forwarded this to our developers so they can take a deeper look into this. They will contact you via this thread once they have an update on this matter.
Let us know if we can assist you further.
Thank you to forwarded this problem.
DO you know when a can expect an answer?
The form is used for booking a b&b... so now can nowbody see my calendar and make a online reservation with automatic calculation of the price.
I have also made earlier copys of this form. I can open the form only once, and then the scriptproblem starts again. I tried it with other browsers, they give all a warning: Jotform do not respond because a slow script'.
We can not give any specific timeframe, but I guess that this is caused by your conditions. I took a look at the jotform mentioned by my colleague Carina (42632557541960) and I see that there are at least 35 conditions that have the fields removed.
This means that our system is going through each entry during the load and because of it seems to be busy and slow (35 of entries each with about 3 removed fields = ~105 bad entries to sort through in a little time and try to find them using different ways).
Our developers could confirm this, but I would suggest going into each jotform that is causing this and removing the conditions that are not being used - are associated with the removed field.
Thank your for your respons.
Indeed, there are o lot of conditions.
I deleted the removed fields, but the problem is the same.
I try to make the form it easier;, with less conditions...
I inspected the form and it seems that you deleted what was previously done. This was what I could access:
Is this the form?
This was the form, indeed.
But I lost the mathematic input-fields after opening the form and the script error.
Here can you see a clone of the form:
Thanks for letting us know. I will then add this form ID to the ticket so our developers can test this situation.
