    customer ID

Asked by zionacademy on September 21, 2011 at 11:05 AM

I'm trying to integrate with Authorize.net, but it's telling me that I need a customer ID.  Where and how do I deal with this issue?

I would like to use the preset form that Authorize.net provides.  How do I get that form?

    Hi,

You need to sign up first with authorize.net and get the
API Login ID and Transaction Key.  These are needed when you use
authorize.net as the payment method in the form.

To create an authorize.net form, go to JotForm Form Builder, and click on
"Authorize.net" field on the right side under "Payment Tools".
Then follow the instructions on the wizard

JotForm uses Advanced Integration Method (AIM).
The credit card information is collected on your form and sent to their API securely.

    Hi,

Regarding Authorize using the AIM method, is the credit card information transmitted from the form, securely, to the secure Jotform servers, and from there, to the Authorize API? Or just straight from the form, securely to their API?

    Thanks.

    Hi lindar,

When the user submits the credit card information, we do not keep
the information in our servers. We make sure to keep it out of our
logs or database entries for security reasons. We just transfer the
information to the Authorize.net API securely. Then Authorize.net tells us if
the charge was successful and then we complete the form submission.

    Hope this answer your question.

    Regards,
    Mliz
