    Getting 502 Bad Gateway Error on Image Picker Widget

    These forms previously had image picker widgets that worked just fine for a long time....just noticed that they are no longer working. Is there a fix? Or should I just remove the image picker and go back to a clunky form process :(  Please advise.  Link to one of the form pages is pasted below. I have 3 forms using this widget currently. TX!!!

    Hi,

    It seems like a cloudfare issue as stated by the error message. I'll escalate this to our developers and technical team so that they can get a closer look.

    We will notify you when an update has been made. For the meantime, please try removing that widget and add it again on your form, that might also solve the problem.

    Thanks, let me know what you come up with. If the only fix is to remove and add the widget again, how will I know if I have to end up doing this again and again over time? I ask because there are 3 forms with image pickers, each has several images -- and it's a little time consuming to add them back in. Wondering if it's buggy and maybe I should go back to not incorporating the widget in my forms (not optimal, but prefer stability). Thanks again!

    Hi,

    I understand and I apologize for the inconvenience that this might have caused you.

    502 Bad Gateway is usually caused by a temporary hiccup on the server of the widget, another caused of the problem is the incorrect formatting of the URLs or content in the widgets and there are also instances that the widget reached the character limit that it has.

    You can just copy all the URLs of the images that you have in the previous image picker and paste it on the new one that you added.

    Nevertheless, I've checked your forms and added it to my escalated report for supporting information.

    I copied one of my forms and reinserted the image picker and some of the images, but am no longer able to keep images in one row and have users scroll through. This takes up an enormous amount of vertical space in my form, so I'm wondering if you have an alternate option that I'm not seeing.

    It seems the image picker widget has been changed and I'm not sure the best way to even proceed now. My forms are broken, but not sure how to fix them or if I can fix them within Jotform.

    I really just wanted a simple way for users to select a design option within the form -- something that doesn't take up a lot of space (as there are several design options).

    I thought of maybe having the image picker in a popup, but am not sure how to accomplish that with JotForm.

    Any input you might have would be great. I had it all worked out with image picker for a long while there, but now that has changed and I'm kind of back at square one (which is having users identify designs separately from the form = added difficulty on the user's end).

    Thanks much! I love jotform, I'm just not a programmer and really want to figure out a good solution here.

    Thank you for providing more details. 

    I just like to inform you that the issue was already elevated to our higher team support. One of our developer was already assigned to look into the problem. The dev will post update on this thread as soon as fixed on the widget's issue is available.

    For the meantime, may I inquire if a form like this http://www.jotform.me/form/43116218261446 with imaeg choices and preview available can also work for what you need?

    That functionality would work for what I need, but the issue is that I have a lot of options, so the options I found available in widgets (image picker, images with radial buttons, etc.) will allow multiple images to choose from, but none of them seems to have a scrolling functionality anymore (image picker did until recently -- before this issue started) and I can't have the image selections take up so much vertical space on my form. Hope I'm explaining that well.

    I wish I had a screenshot of how the image picker used to look in my form. Basically, it had pagination capabilities, so I could have an initial ~6 or so show and then visitors could click to view more.

    We been updating everything, but I don't recall that we have such pagination option in the Image Picker Widget. If there's one, then I think we can request that to our developers - to see if they can restore that function to the widget.

    Again, this thread is already forwarded to our developers side. If there are updates, you should know it via this thread.

    Hi, all of the 502 gateway error problems for this widget should be fixed. We recently updated our widget core to support longer options/text for this widget. Please confirm if it works from your end otherwise report back so that we can further investigate the problem.
