    Calculation values on dropdown boxes not working

    Hello again,
    I have a new question regarding the same form. We use the calculation values with our drop-down boxes to calculate the total order. The problem is that after a while all the calculation values disappear. We tried to revert back to when they to when we are sure the form worked but we cannot get the calculation values back. It takes about 30min of copy-paste to get them all back and it would be the 3rd time we have to do it. HELP!

    Hi Joanna, 

    Can you please confirm first that you were referring to this jotform http://www.jotformpro.com/form/42737961140960 ?

    This form belongs to a different account/username -- but it could be the form you were referring to also.

    The problem is that after a while all the calculation values disappear. We tried to revert back to when they to when we are sure the form worked but we cannot get the calculation values back. It takes about 30min of copy-paste to get them all back and it would be the 3rd time we have to do it.

    Can you instead revert instead to the most recent saved point where in the Calculation Values were already on the form. I meant, instead of reverting back, revert to the latest version instead wherein there were already Calculation values and you do not need to redo them again.

    Yes. This is the form. It's not under my name.
    I have already tried to revert back to the point where I know the calculation values were working and they are not being restored.
    I'll have to put them all back by hand (unless you have a back way to put it all in at once). I just really do not want this to happen again... it might be a bug in the code.

    Hi Joanna,

    Am I right to assumed that someone else have the access to the form and anytime can edit it? I ask this because I suspect that you two edited the form at the same time to which we don't recommend. Doing so would cause this kind of problem to the form. Just wanted to let you know about this.

    I saw that the calculation is working properly now. If you need help with it, please let us know!

    There are 2 people working on the code and we run into problems editing the form at the same time before so now we are careful not to do that.
    Yes. The form is working now but I still do not see the calculation values in the settings for the drop down boxes. Normally the form should not work if the values are not set. Could you explain that?

    I believe that you are referring to the Calculation values set for each option displayed.

    But as I check your JotForm, there are group calculations are being calculated correctly along with the grand total. This is done with the form calculator that enables to calculate each field value with static values. For example, the groceries calculation is done as below :

    In the similar way, the grand total is calculated with the group totals as shown below :

    Yes. This is what I was looking for. I’m confused because I had to set the calculation values to get the group calculations to work

    In all the boxes. And I could see them there just a couple of weeks ago when I open the proprieties window. Now I do not see the values that I entered. That’s what I’m confused about. 1. Why did they disappear? 2. Why does the form work now?

    I don't see any issue with the calculation values feature. As we check the form revision history, I see there are multiple edits on the dropdown boxes that may be removed or multiple edits same time.

    It may be required to have the calculation values when the options are having only text. Since the options are the same as values, it is not required to set the calculation values separately. This way the form calculations are carried out now as explained in my earlier post so as you see the form is working now.
