    conditions issue

Asked by masksofreality on September 28, 2011 at 09:56 AM

I have a form : Hamilton Higher Court Fae Application Form, that I am having troubles setting conditions.  When the user chooses one of the items in the drop down box Fae Type I want it to determin which of four fields under elemental powers is visible. The conditions I have entered appear to only work for the last  5 saved conditions. Hence,  choose the first two options and all fields are being shown. the third option hides one of the four fields and the last option does it correctly and hides all but one field. Is this an error that I have entered somewhere or am I just not understanding  how I should be creating these conditions?

    Thank you

    Hi maskofreality

Conditions can be quite tricky at times. Five conditions, one of which would contain three additional rules, can be substituted for your current twelve. Instead of my going into a long and possibly confusing explanation, it would probably be best if you were to just clone my clone of your original form and have a look at its conditions.

Display wise, the only difference between your form and my clone of it, is that whereas by default yours loads with all of the Elemental Powers fields and their heading shown, mine hides all of that until a fae type is selected.

Hopefully, you find this solution to be satisfactory. If it isn't, there may be better alternatives at our disposal.

    Cheers
