Save Forms to Continue Later: The Hint Example text of TEXTAREA appears to be displayed as input value and the font color also is changed.

    2) I put in my form some hint examples. In the edit mode it's great they appear grey, but when filling in the form they  appear in black and not transparent grey. people could accidentally submit them. also they go into the already filled in questions in the progress bar!
    save later textarea color

    Hi Nilli,

I do apologize for the issue that you are experiencing with your form.

I was not able to replicate the issue that you are experiencing with your form. As seen in the screenshot below, the text is grayed out.

Can you clear your browser cache and access the form again.

If you are still experiencing an issue, please inform us of what browser you are using to access your form so that we can look into this further.

    Thank you.

    Hi Nilli,

To confirm you are referring to your form: http://www.jotformeu.com/form/42755880858370

I am not currently seeing that issue on your direct form

Please try removing the form from your website and embed it once again. We would recommend using the iFrame Embed method.

I hope this help, please inform us if you need further assistance.

Thank you for that additional information. I went through all the pages on your form and was not able to replicate the issue that you described. Please see the screenshots below:

What browser are you currently using to access your forms? Have you already clear your browser cache and attempted to access the form again?

Can you also provide us with a screenshot of the issue. You can view this post on how to add a screenshot to your post: https://www.jotform.com/answers/277033

We await your response. Thank you.

Ok I found out why you cannot replicate this issue. It doesn't occur on the first time you open the form. when you try the first time, all examples are grey. the minute you resume (using the save and continue workaround link), in all the questions that were required and had an example in them, the examples turn black and are counted as progress in the progress bar.

I am using safari on a mac.

Can you assist me with this issue?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello Nilli,

I'm sorry for the trouble caused to you.

You are right. There seems to some glitch. I am able to replicate the issue you are having in chrome/Win7 as well. It seems if you are using the "Save Forms to Continue Later" feature and saving the values in session, the hint example text of the TEXTAREA field is converted as actual input value of the field and hence the font color also changes from grey to black. The hint example of text box works as expected. Please check the screenshot below:

I am reporting it to our back end team. We will get back to you as soon as we have any update from them.

    Thank you!
