Formatting date field tag does not work: Provides empty result

Asked by otkweb on January 06, 2015 at 05:32 AM

    As mentioned in your post:

"...if you need more customized dates you can do it with standard PHP date formatting", but not working for this format:

    {DATE:D d M Y}

Expected output: Tue 06 Jan 2015

    Actual output: (empty)

    Hi Antonio,

Yes, you are correct, it does seem to not work properly at this time.

I will raise this to our developers so that they can take a look at it and see what is the issue.

    Best Regards,

I've made tests on this and this seems to be fixed.  Here's a sample screenshot below:

If you're still having problems on your end in regards to this matter, please do let us know.

Still not working at my side. You can check my form here:

What if you use other date variable other than "DATE"? Will it still work at your side?

Let me forward a note to our developer who was looking into it.

    Hello again,

I see now what you mean.

I've checked the functions of the email alerts and I could not find anything that can let the values of a date-time field be formatted.  The settings using {DATE} tag is not the same as the date-time field from the form field. Using {DATE} simply calls the server's date settings.

What you can do however is you can call in the values of the month, day, year, etc separately (example: {datefield1:month}, {datefield1:year}, and so on).

But since I'm already working on this, I'll do what I can and keep you posted when I have this feature implemented.

    Warm regards,

    Hello again, Antonio.

I have now implemented this feature.  Just like using the formatting on {DATE} tags, just do the same for the dateTime field.

If you have other questions or concerns, please do let us know.
