How To Setup Subscription for Recurring Payment With PayPal

I want to set-up a reoccurring payment option for my customers. Do I do this using the 'Subscription' button? I have set it up and selected an amount. Now, when my costumers are directed to this form and select this option, what happens next? Do they pick the date that the monthly payment is made, or can I?
