Some of the Autocomplete field values disappear after reloading the form in form builder

I'm using an autocomplete field in which I put all cities and towns in Belgium, including their postal code and province. For example: "GENK (3600) Limburg". In total 2765 entries.

When I test this field after saving my form, everything looks normal. But when I test the field a few minutes later, after refreshing my page, some of the cities/towns disappeard.

Is their a max amouth of entries for the autocomplete field? Thanks for taking a look at it.

There must be a limit, but we must do some tests first and maybe escalate it to our devs. Is this the form with the said problem? If so, can you please tell us in which page is the autocomplete field? So far, I see 11 pages on that form.

Also, is this happening in the stand alone version (the link above? Or does that happen only in the webpage of the site? If so, please share the link to your page.

Thanks for getting back to me. This is the form i'm talking about. I'm using stand alone version.

I'm using the autocomplete field 3 times on page 2 (toggle on Particulier or Bedrijf) and 1 time on page 3.

    Label: Stad/Gemeente

Thank you for these details, unfortunately when testing it is not showing that any of the fields are missing. After a further inspection however I saw there are 8 autocomplete widgets on your jotform (id_3, id_71, id_75, id_73, id_69, id_78, id_80, id_84) and I think that I see the issue.

I do see that few of them (4) are the same with their content and that they are all ending with "Terhagen (" so I presume that this is where it starts missing.

Can you please give us a link to all of the elements that are in the list after this entry - or the entire list so that we can take a look at it and see if it gets saved when we add it.

This would allow us to check if maybe something in the list is causing the option to get broken.

You have 77055 characters and only 64970 are accepted.

I've found a related thread about this matter and our developer mentioned that we have this limit because accepting more will cause a browser to freeze and crash.

Allow me to also forward this thread to our backend team. If there are updates about this, you should know it via this thread. For now, my suggestion would be to group the addresses to two or three auto complete widget. You can do it as A-F, G-K and so on. OR, try removing some characters. For example, do it as:

    Zwijndrecht-2070-Antwerpen

...remove the spaces and brackets and use hyphen to separate City, Postcode and Province.

    Thanks

Unfortunately, removing some of the characters doesn't help. I've just tried it here using your complete list in Excel. :( It's cut-off at "Vivegnis".

You can go for grouping method.

    Thanks

Thanks for your advice. I'm probably gonna leave out the provinces to save space. They aren't that important anyway.

It's our pleasure to help you! You need to remove at least 12, 100 characters. You can use this website to count characters: http://www.lettercount.com/

    Thanks
