    Help, my app content just totally disappeared

    Hello Beth,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm sorry that you have difficulties with this. I have checked your App and see that all App pages are not connected to any forms. Can you please confirm if you try to edit your app or delete some pages from your App?

    After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on.

    I went into the app to edit.

    Duplicated a button, the first one on the home page.
    Then I was changing the description and the whole thing left the screen.
    I can see pages in the menu but no pages showing up.

    Hello Beth,

    Thanks for getting back to us. I think you have deleted the linked forms to your App pages. I have checked your App and I can not see any forms or elements linked to your App. Check my screencast below.

    Let us know if you need any more help.

    I wouldn't begin to know how to remove a link. Each page had at least ten elements.

    I did ONE thing as stated above. I would NEVER have gone to all the pages and deleted ALL the elements!

    I do need help, I need them all restored. I was about to do a team training showing how to create an app.

    I probably had almost 1000 elements.

    I am soooo disappointed.

    Does Jotform have a max number of elements that an app can hold? Did I hit the max and then it blew up??

    I need to understand. I WILL NOT recreate it just to have it happen again. THIS is NOT something I DID!

    I need more information please.

    I think I had about 50 pages, with at least 10 - 12 elements per page. It has taken me DAYS and DAYS to get where I am.

    I am so dissapointed.

    Hello Beth,

    Thanks for your patience. I have checked the App again and the App elements and pages still disappeared, so I created a ticket and escalated this to our Developer team. Although we don't know exactly when the issue will be fixed, we’ll circle back to this thread when we have an update. Also, I have found a backup for your App and it is on your account. Can you try to Clone this App as it is already on your account? You can follow the below steps:

    1. Go to the My Apps page.

    2. Select the app you want to clone and check its 'More' menu.

    3. Click on Clone your app.

    4. You will be redirected to the App Builder and your app will be duplicated.

    I created that backup a year ago. Even if I make a copy and start from there, I have a year of content to recreate. I will never do that, not knowing why the content of my current app just disappeared. My time is too valuable to recreate and then just have it be gone. Thanks for the idea though.

    Now if I had been wise, I would have made a backup weekly. That is on me. I just never dreamed it would poof.

    I will do better next time, where ever I create it.

    Thanks for getting back to us. I understand how upsetting this is. My colleague has escalated this situation to our Developer Team so that they can look into it further. Although we do not have an ETA, rest assured that we will update you here on this thread as soon as we hear from them.
