I have selections for specific dates for training classes with a date where the registration is closed and no more registrations are accepted.
My question is when the date is reached for the registration deadline I want the selection option for registration to not be selectable and optionally a message which states that the registration is closed.

This can be achieve by adding the DateTime field in the form and set to ON the current date.
Then use conditional statements using Condition Logic to SHOW/HIDE elements on the form base on the current date.
Here is my demo jotform http://www.jotformpro.com/form/50395632582964 you can test.
The current date field is visible to the user only for this demo (you can hide the field in actual).
To simulate a test, change the current date to 2/11/2015 (the expiry date set on the Condition Logic) -- you will see that it will hide and disable all the other options below it.
If you set the current date to early dates before 2/11/2015, the options should still be all available.
Hope this help. Let us know if you need further assistance.
Thanks.

Thanks!
I'll clone the form and try it.
