How can I limit the number of items bought in the Inventory Widget

    Hi,

I want to use the Inventory Widget to show the number of places left on a range of courses (number left). All works fine, but I want to stop someone from booking (ordering) more than one place.  As written the widget allows the purchaser to select any number.  Is there a way of limiting the widget field to "1"?

    Many thanks

    Neil

You could do that Neil by using another widget called Ticket Purchases.

It can be limited to allow only 1 selection - or more if you offer different options - but only 1 of the same type.

Do let us know if that is what works for you.

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for the very rapid response - seriously impressed!

Yes, Ticket Purchases looks to work. Will know better once I give it a good workout. I did find a workaround on Inventory by using a series of conditions to hide the submit button, but Ticket Purchases is much more elegant.

    Many thanks

You are welcome Neil and I am glad to hear that :)

We do try to reply back to everyone as quickly as possible :)

In regards to the solution of hiding the submit button, I have seen that you have also shown a message to indicate that the entry should hold only one option.

I would suggest to use Text field found under Form Tools as it will allow further formatting (in your future projects where you want to show some notification).

Do let us know how it goes once you give it a bit more testing and of course do let us know if you have any questions along the way :)
