The form takes ages for the form to save while I'm creating it. I can't event preview it. Is it because I do have a free account?

I am sorry no. The speed performance had nothing to do with the subscription type.
It is more on the your browser and/or internet speed.
We currently do not have any network related issue reported at this time. So, it could be an isolated case that is happening only for you.
For initial troubleshooting, can you please try refreshing your browser first. You may want to restart the browser also and login back to jotform at http://www.jotform.com/login
See if this initial procedures makes the difference already.
Inform us if issue persist.
