    Hi there,

We'd like to pipe web form data to a pdf document and allow the user to download it directly with 1 click.

e.g. webform asks for name, phone number, and address with submit button at the bottom. Once user clicks on the submit button. A pdf is generated and downloaded to the user's device. The pdf document is formatted like a letter. Similar to "Hi [name], we see that your address of [address] is located in our service area. One of our service representatives will call you at [phone number] in the next 30 min."

    Hello John,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform. Unfortunately, there is no automation feature in Jotform that would make automatic file download possible. You can send an email to your users right away when they click the submit button and attach the PDF file on that email so that they can download it manually. Let me show you how to do that:

    1. Select the Settings tab from the Form Builder.
    2. Click on Emails to see the setup wizard.
    3. Create a new Autoresponder Email or edit an existing one.Webform > PDF and user auto download Image 1 Screenshot 30

Once the edit window for your Autoresponder has been opened:

    1. Under the Advanced tab, you’ll see a field labeled Attach a File that allows you to upload an attachment.
    2. Upload your attachment and click Save.Webform > PDF and user auto download Image 2 Screenshot 41

Jotform supports the following file formats:

    • PDF
    • DOC
    • DOCX
    • PNG
    • JPG
    • JPEG

Give it a try and let us know if you need more help.
