Send the PDF of made submission as an email attachmentAsked by seineriversafety on February 27, 2015 at 03:50 PM
I know you can send a link to a pdf version with an email notification but I would like the notification email to come as a pdf attachment...can this be done?
Unfortunately it is not possible to do this at this time, but I will raise this to our developers as a possible feature request.
If it gets implemented, you will be notified of it through this thread.
In the mean time the only possible option is the one that you have mentioned, unless you send the email from your own servers, but this would require that you:
1. capture the entered data on your server
2. download the PDF file to it
3. make a code that would prepare the email with this downloaded file as attachement
4. send the email
That would be awesome if you could do that. Until then I will figure out a work around. Thanks
I would also be interested in an option to attach the PDF to the e-mail notification. I'm a former FormsCentral user, and I was very happy to see the fillable PDF form submission tool. For both regular forms and the fillable PDFs, it would be nice to be able to send the PDF along with the notification.
Almost daily our employees need to complete a specific form(s) that is e-mailed to another company. I know the other company would like to receive the PDF form as an attachment so they can open and print it immediately (instead of clicking the link, downloading, and then printing, etc).
Dropbox integration is great for us, and I could potentially do something through IFTTT or a service like that, but it would be awesome to be able to check a box and "attach PDF to e-mail notification."
