Can I create a form so the submission goes to me and the unique sender (but not other people?)

Asked by Dillan on March 01, 2015 at 05:02 PM

    Hi,

I want to create one form for multiple people to fill out confidentially. I want to know if I can set it up so the submission goes to me and the person who submitted it, but not to a list or group of people. It seems this isn't possible---unless I use the BCC option?

    thank you,

    Dillan

    Hi Dillan,

This is actually very much possible to do in JotForm.

I suggest you go through first the user guides

    1. -Setting-Up-Email-Notifications

    2. -Creating-a-Form-Autoresponder

    3. -Send-Notifications-to-Multiple-Recipients

In all features, CC and BCC email is also applicable.

The Notification Email will be sent to your email (or the email  address you provide in the Recipient E-mail box)

The Autoresponder E-mail  will be auto emailed to the email address provided by the form responder on the form.

Check this discussion thread on -How-send-form-in-BCC-

Hope this help. Let us know if there is more we can help you with.

    Thanks.

    hi friends,
    this is great! thank you.
    I need more help.
I am working with a team and I want each person to be able to submit ONE
form but ONLY get a reply from their own form. I don't want the results
going to the team. Does that make sense?
    Is this possible?
    thank you,
    Dillan

    Hi DillanD,

To confirm, you would like to have multiple forms, but have each form notification go to a different person?

If that is the case, you would create each form and edit the recipient email address in each form's email notification.

Please follow the steps below to edit the recipient email address:

    1. Click on "Emails",

    2. Select "Notification Email",

    3. Click on "Reply-to and Recipient Settings",

    4. Change "Recipient E-mail" on the lower right side.

I hope this helps, please inform us if you need further assistance.

    hi friends,
No, it would be the same form going to many different people---but each
form notification should only go back to each original sender, not to a
group or be visible by anyone else.
    Is this possible?
    thank you!

    Hi DillianD,

That can be done using an auto-responder. The email will be sent to whatever email is entered in the assigned field for the recipient email.

    Please view our guide: http://www.jotform.com/help/26-Creating-a-Form-Autoresponder

I hope this helps, please inform us if you need further assistance.

ok great. I am setting this up.
to be clear, I do not know the email addresses of all the people I am
sending the form to--one form is being sent to 15 people. What do I select
for Recipient Email field so the form goes to me and each person
    individually once they submit it?
    thank you

    hi there,
this did not work. The form submission didn't go to the sender's email
address, it only came to me.
Can you give me the right instructions so I can make this work?
    thank you,
    Dillan

    Hi DillanD,

I did a test submission on your form: http://www.jotformpro.com/form/52287001863958

I received the auto-responder to my email after completing the form.

The sender my need to check if the email ended up in their Spam or Junk folder.

    Thank you
