Form URL not working with other users

Asked by Finn on March 09, 2015 at 10:33 PM

    Hi there,

    our form:

(from your email to us: ) "This is a direct link to your form for easier distribution"
    http://form.jotform.co/form/50392408293860

Is not working for about half of our users.

Depending on my browser (I've tried it on 3 - safari, chrome, firefox) it either takes me to a warning page that it is a phishing site, or a browser window just with heaps of broken code.

We're using jotform for our application process for our festival, and have enjoyed using it so far - could you please help us get it working again?

    As I'm typing,

We have found this link works: http://www.jotform.co/form/50392408293860

Is it that the first link was just a broken link that got emailed?

    Cheers,

    Finn

    Hi Finn,

Unfortunately, I'm unable to replicate the problem. Here I tried viewing your form using those two links and everything seems to work as expected.

    1. Google Chrome:

    2. Mozilla Firefox

    3. Internet Explorer

Could you try monitoring again the form, you can try distributing the form URL found in your embed form code option.

If you get the phishing warning message or the broken code, please do send us a screenshot so that we can take a look at it closer. You can also clear your form's cache and see if that helps solve the problem.

    Kind regards.

They are two different links. The one within the form (your final pictures) does NOT work. The other linke (www one) does.

Have attached one example of when we click on the link as provided by the form.

The form URL  http://form.jotform.co/jsform/50392408293860   I see on your provided screenshot is wrong. As it was the short script code of the form instead-- not the URL.

Noticed the js in jsform of the URL link...

    it should be only http://form.jotform.co/form/50392408293860

Hope this resolve the issue. Please let us know if issue remains.

    Thanks.

    Hi Thanks.

Thing is, that incorrect link came from the "direct link" part of the form. So even though it is wrong, we got it from the place you are meant to get it from and now it has been sent out to 500 people and is incorrect.

Is there any way that you can redirect the incorrect link to the correct link for us?

    Thanks.

Depending on my browser (I've tried it on 3 - safari, chrome, firefox) it either takes me to a warning page that it is a phishing site, or a browser window just with heaps of broken code.

If you see a phishing warning message instead of the form, it is most likely that there is some security related software on your computer/network that rates http://form.jotform.co address as unsafe. If you can reproduce the issue, please provide us with a screenshot. In this way, we will be able to investigate it further.

This is quite strange since we are not getting any similar reports from other users. Please re-check the direct link to see if the issue still persists on your side.

Unfortunately, there is no way to redirect /jsform/ link to the actual form. The /jsform/ link is valid and used for embedding.

    Example:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="//www.jotform.co/jsform/50392408293860"></script>
