    Mailchimp Integration: Contacts are not being added to groups

    Here is my objective: I want to make check boxes required answers.

    If I make a question in Mailchimp a check box, it becomes a group, which on their forms can't be a required answer without a paid account AND some programming.

    I can make the check box question required in Jotform, but the answers are not transferring to the Mailchimp groups.
    Not even the one group I associated the form with!?! (I did read someplace on your forum that group questions don't transfer)

    Suggestions?

    I'm not sure if I understand your inquiry correctly.

    Did you create groups in your MailChimp List and want to add your submitters to each corresponding group based on the selection they made on the form? Or you meant something different?

    If so, please let me do some tests on my side to better understand what you want to accomplish.

    Yes, I have 3 groups in Mailchimp and all fields imported to Mailchimp except the 3 groups.

    So you're telling me that groups should transfer from Jotform to Mailchimp?

    As per my colleague's test, the contacts are added to the list but not to the groups. He has already reported this issue to our back end team. We will get back to you as soon as we have any update form them.

    This is more as a feature than a bug, so it might take a bit longer to implement, but I see it marked as important so it will most likely be added. Time frame however is something that we can not give you at this time as it depends on several factors, but in the mean time I would suggest trying Zapier instead.

    You will see one of the zaps mentioning this: "Jotform to Mailchimp Group maping", but I would go over all of them to see which one provides you with what you are looking for to achieve.

    not sure how this is a "feature"... the mailchimp api integration SAYS you can select the GROUPS to which your contacts should be added... 

    and it doesn't work. 

    i think, specifically, it doesn't work for EXISTING contacts IN mailchimp... it updates their FIELDS but not their GROUPS (check boxes generally, as opposed to text fields in mailchimp)

    This is a basic requirement ... 

    i've just run a big promotion, expecting it to work, only to have to keep an eye on the form submissions every couple hours and manually update every single submission in mailchimp except the one who was brand new via the jotform submission.

    Hello optimize,

    Well I agree with you. Currently, the MailChimp integration adds the contacts only to MailChimp lists but not groups. This is already reported to our back end team. Though we cannot provide an ETA on this but we will update you as soon as we have any update from them.

    Sorry for the very late response. We have started working on your ticket, but were unfortunately unable to reproduce the issue.

    Can you please let us know if you're still having the problem you have described on your original posting?
