What I want to do is put a banner on my site that asks for the zip code and maybe one more piece of data. When they click "sign up now" they will taken to the jotform. I then want the jotform to be autopopulated with the zip code and other data they already provided.
Is that possible? How is that done?

Yes, you can auto-populate field using the query string on the form URL. Example:
So, how do you find out the names for fields? (i.e address11[postal]) Look at the source code of the form.

Can this be done using a hidden field?
I followed the directions of hiding a field found in http://www.jotform.com/answers/3989-Hidden-field-until-option-selected#2.
It didn't seem to work when I put my info in with this address: http://www.jotform.com/2360339172?resource=homepage
What I am trying to do is use just one form but link to it from several web assets. The hidden form would let me know where my form submissions are coming from. With this info I will also be able to know where my quality submissions are coming from and where my bad ones are coming from.
If there is a better way to do this, please let me know.
