I have not been able to find information on how to use the collapse function. Is there any?

I have a series of questions that applies to my contact only if they desire a particular option.  They can readily make that decision, I don't feel the need for a logic operator.  My understanding is that the collapse section is hidden unless the user opens it.  Is that the case?  IF so, how do you set it up?  All of my attepts to test it out have not worked.

    Hi,

First off, thanks for using JotForm. I think that you will find the link below very useful. And you can also find the answer to your question about using form collapse.

That's a very confusing explanation of the collapse function.

To answer W45Hr00m's question, the default setting on the collapse section is Closed Visible. So yes, you are right. That is the case.

I would use the Conditions Wizard : http://www.jotform.com/answers/41967-Is-it-possible-to-have-a-hidden-field-that-appears-only-under-certain-conditions
