I wanted to find out if (with any additional code), it is possible to embed an image directly within a matrix. In answer to a question yesterday, the suggestion was to put the image above the matrix, though I was unsure if this meant as a separate image file.
The (small) problem I have is that in doing this, the image doesn't really look as though it is part of the question.
Currently I have this...
and what I'd ideally like to achieve is this... so the diagram looks like it is part of the question...
Is this possible?

It is possible. Slice your images evenly, upload it. Once done, edit the matrix of your form.
On the Colums part of the wizard, insert an HTML code of the image source, enclosed with a <p> tag. (See image below)
Please see to it that the code entered was properly placed right after the text item. Pressing enter or putting the image on the new line in the list will make the image be treated as another item.
Once done, close the wizard and save your form.
Important: Editing the labels will require you again to insert all image tags as the matrix wizard is not really designed to handle HTML tags.
