Created Fillable PDF forms not working when converting long Form with multiple page break and collapse

Asked by tgaavsalon on April 04, 2015 at 08:46 PM

I am trying to create PDF copies of all of my forms to use as sample forms for people to look at, but the 'Create PDF form' is not working. All I get after a very long wait is a PDF that has '0' Zero bytes.

    Can someone help please.

    Kind Regards,

    Ross Larsen.

    Hi Ross,

I also suggest reviewing this article

    -Fillable-PDF-Everything-you-need-to-know-about-JotForm-Fillable-PDF-Creator

I was able to reproduced the empty/zero byte PDF generated when I tried converting your jotform http://www.jotform.co/form/40051732257851 to Fillable PDF Form

It seems the issue was due to the size of the form and the as well as the page break and collapse fields on the form.

If there is a way for you to redesign the form and create it as a one page form only, there is a higher success the form will be converted properly to Fillable PDF Form.

I just test our tool Fillable PDF Form just now, and it is working as intended.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

    Thanks.

Thank you Jonathan for the fast reply.

Shame that JotForm does not offer the old save to PDF like they used to as well as the new options.

For me the old way was easier for what I am doing, the new way is going to create a lot of extra work for me.

    Oh well, that's life!

    Regards,

I also agree on you on the availability of the previous version.

I actually have submitted a feature request to our higher team support to reinstate back the previous feature to Create PDF Form(read-only version)

    user guide: -How-to-Create-a-PDF-Form

We will let you know here once we have status on the request ticket.

    Thanks.
