Jot2Tweet passing field tags instead of their values

Asked by eiermann on April 10, 2015 at 07:05 AM

    Hi there,

I just wanted to point out that Jot2Tweet is not working properly although the fields are inserted correctly. What do you suggest?

    Cheers,

    Chris

I want to add that it sometimes works but sometimes it doesn't. What can be done to make it more reliable?

Could you please tell us if the page: http://tweet.jotform.io/ is not working for you properly? If that is what you mean? I ask since it seems to work OK for me, but you say that sometimes it works and sometimes it does, not so more details we have it would be easier for us to recreate it and see what is the actual issue.

    Thank you.

Sorry, I thought the screenshot makes it already clear :) Jot2Tweet is able generate the tweet but the form entries like "first name + last name" or "address" are not showing up in the tweet. Instead it shows the field name.

Example tweet: "Thank you {fullname} for your booking. Have a nice day!"

Correct tweet: "Thank you John Doe for your booking. Have a nice day!"

Sometimes it works and the names are filled in correctly but sometimes not. I pointed out this problem about a year ago I think. Until now the problem still exists and I see it more frequently over the last couple of weeks.

You are right Chris, not sure how I missed that, but thank you for adding additional details :)

I was able to find your older thread here: http://www.jotform.com/answers/284155-Jot2Tweet-bug-Tweets-don-t-show-the-names

Now I will raise this to our developers to take a look into and once they do they will update you about it through this thread.

    Thank you.
