Conditional multi-page form received without filled out fields

Asked by Erik Auerbach on April 15, 2015 at 01:28 PM

Someone just completed a form for me and a bunch of required fields didn't save before he moved on.

How can we double check that the form is set up correctly?

    Thank you for contacting us.

The form looks good to me. I think that mentioned submission was received in the following way, the form user found a direct form link, accessed it without completing the 'first' form that generates the session link, navigated to the Section 15 and submitted the form.

In other words, the form user did not complete the entire form, and required questions are not actually required when 'skip to page' conditions are used. This is intentional behavior since some form owners need to skip some pages with 'required' field on purpose.

You might consider contacting the form user to confirm this.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for getting back to me. So, how do I make it so the user has to go through each part without skipping a section? This never happened before. I feel like there has to be a way for that to happen.
    Thanks again,

Please try adding a Form Tabs widget to the form. The widget can allow navigation between pages with unfilled required fields, but it should not allow submissions without required data.

    Thank you.

** A New Year Means New Fun
    photo: Bibiana Bauer
We've been so busy this semester that we didn't get a chance to update you last month, so here's a peek into what we've been up to!
We resumed programming last month and welcomed in a few new mentees and mentors to both classes who have been great about jumping right into the mix and getting comfortable with their new medium. As we continue to make work related to our year's theme 'Why So Serious?' we also got out to take a look at SOMArts' exhibit Visions Into Infinite Archives which was a group show of artists of color curated by Black Salt Collective (http://blacksaltcollective.tumblr.com/) featuring work that included photography, sculpture, video, performance, painting and textiles. And keeping the out-of-the-darkroom momentum going, next week we'll be visiting the studios of Orange Photography (https://orangephotography.com/) to give the mentees the chance to see how a professional photography business runs as well as the opportunity to make studio portraits of one another.
We would like to congratulate two of our mentees, Bella and Ying, for being accepted to participate in the Exposures (http://www.exposuresprogram.org/) Cross-cultural Youth Arts Summer Program being held this year in Vermont and hosted by In-Sight Photography Project (http://www.insight-photography.org/insight/) . It's an amazing opportunity for them and we are thrilled that they will be there, no doubt to produce some amazing new work!
Lastly, this weekend we are excited to be co-hosting the Teen InstaMeet Photowalk (https://www.facebook.com/events/452962124828617/) at the Contemporary Jewish Museum along with Youth Art Exchange and the CJM's Teen Art Connect program. It will be a great opportunity for teens to see the current Vishniac exhibition, hear about the process of making work from local documentary photographer Paccarik Orue (http://www.paccarik.com/) and then hit the streets with us to make some images! The event is free for teens so spread the word to any that you feel might be interested!
** The People Behind the Scenes
It takes a lot of support to keep First Exposures going. Aside from our hardworking staff, interns and volunteer mentors we also have an amazing Advisory Board that's comprised of a diverse group of dedicated supporters. Please take a moment to meet these amazing folks (http://www.firstexposures.org/#!board/c1qvt) , we wouldn't be here without them!
