It is taking upwards of 30 minutes to save changes to my form and sometimes they are not saving at all.

I do not facing performance issues that you mentioned. The form builder seems to be stable.
Can you please try the service in any other browser to see if that makes any differences?
Maybe you have network problems.

It sure doesn't work on Safari--all typeface is compressed. I'm using google chrome.

May I suggest to first clear your browser and forms cache, log back in and see if that will fix the problem. If after that you are still unable to save changes and see it on preview, please let us know which forms you are having problems with.
