How to add data in the submission after the form is submitted?

    Hi Jot Form,

I'm not sure if this is possible. I presently have a form on our website for people to order advertising for our concert programs. The form works great.

But I give customers the choice of ordering via PayPal or by check. The paypal payments are captured by the form. But I need a way to capture whether the check was paid or not.

Since this function is not filled out by the customer -- It would be filled out by me, after I receive confirmation from our treasurer that the payment was received

For instance, there would be a field: Has the check been paid? _____ Yes  _____ Not yet

Is there some way I could input this additional data when I am viewing the submissions, so it will show on the report? Or would I need to create a new form to handle this administration task?  I suppose this is a data administration issue, but I thought I would ask.

    Thank you

    Dave

    Hello Dave,

With a little workaround, yes it is possible to achieve your requirement. Here are the steps you should follow:

#1. In the section which you display when the "Pay By Check - Make payable to RCD" checkbox is checked, add a text box and hide it. Please check the screenshot below:

When the user submits the form by selecting the check payment option, they will not see this hidden text box.

#2. When you receive the payment and get confirmation from your treasurer, you can edit the particular submission records from your form's submission page and this hidden textbox will be visible to you. You can input text yes/no and submit the form again. Please check the screenshot below:

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!
