How to show the summed up total value of a field from all submissions into a thank you page?Asked by Greg Pare on April 25, 2015 at 04:32 PM
I have a form that I am challenging people to save money (honor system). How much have you saved? How can I show all people that submit a composite total or "scoreboard"? I don't care about the dates, just the composite total saved.
If I understand you correctly, you would like to create a report that shows the data submissions in a chart or in a table. Am I correct?
You can check the reports section for further information.
Hope this helps. Thank you.
I want to TOTAL the tabulations automatically. I don't care about the individual paydays, simply how much has been saved TOTAL by all submitters and link them to the results in the Thank You email.
I see what you mean, summing up the total of an specific field(column) of all submissions would required custom programming.
Basically send submissions to your own database: https://www.jotform.com/help/126-How-to-send-Submissions-to-Your-MySQL-Database-Using-PHP
Creating a SQL query to sum up all the contained values, then creating a PHP page where the data will be displayed, and then redirect when form is submitted to that thank you page: https://www.jotform.com/help/38-Redirecting-Users-to-a-Different-Page
So, I would recommend you to hire a programmer to help you accomplish this complex task, since as far as I know, it is not possible to accomplish with our current features.
