    Capability of form I need

Asked by Sylvia   on April 27, 2015 at 10:43 PM

    Good evening,

I would possibly be purchasing the yearly form subscription if it would work for my purposes.

For our SharePoint 2013 Intranet we would like to have a simple e-card option for staff to be able to send each other cute, inspirational or thank you greetings. Would I be able to build a simple form that when clicked would open and allow staff to enter their text and then have a choice of pictures to pick from that would populate the form. They would then send via email to a staff member. When the person receives the email with the form it would open and display the text and image. I really hope this is possible.

Would the fact I need it for an Intranet cause any issues?

Thank you in advance for your assistance,

    Hi Sylvia,

I'm looking into your request and will respond back as soon as I'm done creating a demo form illustrating your desired usability.

Regarding the options for sending an e-card with user text,

I have managed to create a form that demonstrates the said ability you can preview it at this link

Here is a YouTube link of a screen-cast video I made demonstrating the steps taken to make the form.

    Hope this addresses you question.

    Hi Sammy,

First of all I would like to say thank you very much for sending such a great detailed reply. I really appreciate that. When I clicked the link I don't see the test form but I have looked at the YouTube video.

I have a few additional questions if you don't mind? I see the email you sent explaining could pay to host the jot forms on our server. We are a non profit organization and the there will not be a lot of e-cards sent.

I would like to test to see how many people actually do use it and then later on if needed we could look at that option.

Would the images be hosted on your server or would I need to host them else where?

If I add them as thumbnails would the full size image show up in the finished sent form?

    Thank you very much,

You've asked a few followup questions so I have moved each to a new separate thread since they are technically separate topics even though slightly related.

In the future we ask that you please ask any new questions you might have separately via a new thread to avoid confusion along with the fact that this helps optimize our forum for related questions if anyone searches something similar.

Also, I wanted to let you know that Sammy accidentally gave you the edit link for his demonstration form. So that was the reason it didn't work when you clicked it.

The actual demo form he made for you is here http://www.jotform.com/51171662265958

    Thank you KadeJM,

Sorry about that. I was replying to my original question. As my questions are about my original inquiry I thought I was doing the right thing. keeping the topic all together.

    Thanks again.
