I have a form that is set up using form collapse feature and the form contains 4 sections. If a person puts the wrong type of content or the document they upload is too large they get the "invalid error message" and when they try to go back to correct the error all of the other content on the form is gone causing them to have to fill out the form completely from step 1 again.

Unfortunately, some browsers behave that way and there is nothing we can do on our end. You should probably add additional warnings that the users cannot upload files larger than a size. You should probably increase the maximum file upload size in the upload field settings.

You can also enable "Allow Multiple" feature for the upload field. That will upload the files while the user is still on the browser and if there is an error, they will know it before they submit the form.
