Is it possible to make a submitted PDF file have a name that is produced by a field
in your form?
Yes, I am also saving my forms to a PDF format in a Google Drive location.
I need the PDF file name to be specific to the user filling in the form, so that
I can quickly find it if needed later on. Is this possible? Can you make a form field
equal to the name of the file?

Do you mean an uploaded file? If so the uploaded files keep the original file name.
If you meant the PDF files created with Google Drive integration, the integration will create a separate folder for each new submission. You can select the name of the folder and it can be one of the fields of the form:
