Can I prepopulate the fields of my forms based on the entered information in a previous form?

    Hi,

    We have multiple services/products.

Trying to simplify the quote process we have a pre-qualifying form which requires contact information and selection of required service / product. Then, we show (separate) appropriate form for that service/product for completion.

My question is: can filled field on the pre-qualifying form be automatically updated to the appropriate service/product form so the prospect does not have to enter this again??

Or, is it best to just use the "Hide/Show" function for those fields? Please understand there will be a a great number of fields if this is the case. Is there any practical limit to the number of fields and conditional logic rules?

I can easily see how it will be difficult to keep it all clearly separated and defined, so am hoping to be able to create the separate form linking as preference.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. You do provide an excellent product and support.

Thank you for your kind words, we're glad to know that you're satisfied with our product and support.

Regarding your question, you can prepopulate the fields of your forms by following the steps provided here: http://www.jotform.com/help/71-Prepopulating-fields-to-your-JotForm-via-URL-parameters

I'm not sure if you're already doing this, but you would need to use a conditional thank you page redirection in order to make the above method work correctly.
