Can data from one field be submitted into multiple columns?

For example: I have a check box which allows them to choose multiple answers. However all the data from the check box populates into one data field. I would like each box checked to populate into a different data column.

Submission data is entered as one entry per field.  Even larger fields, such as a matrix field, that capture several forms of data, will have their data collected as one entry.  There is no way to separate out individual selection from a single field into multiple entries in your submission data.

You could create multiple checkbox fields, space then close together and remove the labels.  If you want the data in separate columns in your submission data, it will require multiple fields.
