Why should JotForm have full read/write in DropBox integration?

    Why should JotForm have full read/write to any files in a customer's DropBox?

    Is there means of collecting forms data without giving your service full access to my files?

    Hello Okei,

    I believe full access is required for the dropbox integration to work correctly. It needs to upload file and create folders dynamically for every submissions for which Access type needs to be "Full Dropbox".

    This makes all my personal data in Dropbox available to JotForm. This is no good. Why can't JotForm only read/write access to only the folder created and assigned to it? Will this be too much to implement? I am not comfortable given JotForm total access to EVERYTHING in my Dropbox.

    When I send form collection reports to DropBox, is it also available to me in the main JotForm collection repository?

    You need to allow and add JotForm to your App list like Dropbox. That authentication is required so that you can give permission to JotForm to send the submission data into your Dropbox account.

    You need not worry because it is only asking for authentication permission, but does not capture any of your account details.

    Considering your last question I am not sure if you are referring to submissions, but if so, you can access to submissions inside of your JotForm account also when you have some integration.
