    Intergrate jotform into affiliate program.

Asked by riatech on November 25, 2011 at 01:30 AM

    hi,

I'm going to start a simple affiliate program. Affiliate will promote the link to my website. If visitor sign up for my service ( no payment involve ), i will reward my affiliate some monetory in return.

My question.. how can i track the visitor come from which affiliate? If the visitor visit my site through a particular affiliate, browse through several pages then just leave. The next time or next day, the visitor return...at last sign up my service. Can the jotform recognizes who is the refferal of this visitor? assuming that the visitor not directly signup, but browse some pages then only signup.

Can i have this feature to intergrate to my website? How to do so? i hope you guys can understand my question.

    Thanks

Correct me if I am wrong, but this is how I see your goal being implemented:

An affiliate promotes your service using a referral link to your website. This referral link stays on the user's computer up until the user csigns up for the service using a sign up form created with JotForm. This way, the affiliate is credited for the sign up.

While your idea sounds pretty clever, unfortunately, it is not achievable with JotForm.  Your site needs to use cookies to store affiliate information (id or number) on the visitor's computer so that affiliates are properly credited. This type of affiliate mechanism requires some coding on your website, independent from the sign up form.

I hate to say this but you may need to have a programmer to do this job. That is, if you are not a programmer yourself.

There are several free affiliate opensource code which you can use however to achieve what you wish there are some tweaks that needs to be done. Some of the famous website you can look into are the following:

You can also look into odesk.com or freelancer.com, these are just some of the famous website where you can hire a programmer service to work on what you need.
