    PDF Submission: Top margin is too tight and out of the printable area

    When saving our PDF to Google Drive there are no margins at top/bottom of page so the data gets cut off when printing

    How can this be corrected? It makes our printed forms worthless as vital info is missing.

    Hi,

    I was able to replicate the problem, it seems like it happens on all of the source for PDF submissions of the form. 

     

    I need to escalate this to our developers to have it check and fix. We will update you on this thread when we hear any news.

    This is still not fixed.  I see there is a little more margin, but it still cuts off our work.

    When doing a test please print out an example.

    If I may suggest, could you try editing the margin in the print preview of your PDF? In my case, the Adobe Reader doesn't allow it, but previewing the form in Google Chrome does, here's an example:

     

    Basically, press CRTL+P in Google Chrome when viewing the PDF submission, open "More Settings" and enable the "Fit to page". But the margins are quite too wide for me. Not sure if that's acceptable with you. Regardless, I have already forwarded this again to our developers to see if they can make further changes or adjustments.

    I have increased PDF margins to make a better fit. However, what my colleague, Charlie, suggested seems to be a really good way to manage print-outs.

    Please let us know your thoughts about the increased margins.

    One Question though. Will this only work on NEW submissions?  I tried on an old one and it had a very minimal effect.

    Hello there,

    Where do you open the old PDFs? It should work on the old ones as long as you use the "Get PDF" button in the submissions page. It is because that everytime you download a PDF, there are styles being applied on the PDF that you will received.

    If you are opening the old PDFs that are stored on file servers like Google Drive or Dropbox, then you won't see the changes. Those files are already saved and it should retain the styles used when it was downloaded.

    Actually this is a big problem.

    I have a dozen therapists who need to print these forms daily.

    I cannot give them access to my JOTFORM account.

    They need to be able to print from Google Drive where they have limited access.

    Do you have any recommendation?

    Please help!

    Unfortunately, the effect or changes will only apply to new PDF submissions. For the old ones, they will remain the same. 

    You could also give them access directly to your submissions page here: http://www.jotform.com/help/199-How-to-Share-Form-s-Submissions-Page. No need for them to have an account or directly access yours.

    However, if you want, you can setup a separate account and make that a sub account user with permissions set like view only submissions. Here's a guide for that:  http://www.jotform.com/help/232-How-to-Share-Forms-with-a-Sub-Account-User 

    Other than that, we cannot directly change or update those that are already on your Google Drive folders. Apologies for the inconvenience.
