    I am trying to Create a PDF Form, but all I'm getting is an error message:

    Adobe Reader could not open ‘________.pdf’ because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn’t correctly decoded).

    This is a re-post of a comment on How to Create a PDF Form

    I'm getting the same error as a previous commenter but the suggested answer doesn't work for me.  I don't need a fillable PDF - just a regular one.

    By default all PDFs generated from forms are fill-able by default, could you kindly provide a link to the form so that i can run some test and be able to find the issue.

    patiently awaiting you feedback

    I took a look at the form that you have mentioned: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/42954215386965

    Now from what I can see this is the form that is shared with your account, not your own form, but I will still raise it to our developers to check what is happening.

    In short words, the file gives you that error because it is damaged. Most likely it has 0 bytes for its size, which means that there was some issue creating it, or during the download.

    Just in case, do try it again using a different browser and if it does not work for some reason, do let us know and we will raise it to our developers for you.

    Hello,

    I've tried create a pdf of this form using IE, Firefox, and Chrome - all with the same results.  It gives me a 12 byte file and the above error message when I try to open it.

    Thanks again for your help.

    @emcqueeny

    Thanks for reporting. I was able to reproduce the reproduce. My colleague is right, it is happening on shared forms only when you download its PDF.

    What you can do for now is to clone that form into another account (or your account) so you can download its PDF version.

    I have also addressed this to our developers for a resolution. We'll let you know once this is fixed.
